Hello. I've had success in modelling a building under wind loading using solids4Foam to solve for the fluid structure interaction, and I was wondering if there is any precedent as to how to model a tuned mass damper within the building. Ideally, I'd have a point mass connected by linear springs to the building that take into account its motion. I've seen that in https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/P...onSolverFvMesh, it is possible to define a linear spring for a 6dof rigid body element, but I'm unsure if this would work, as the definition of the "anchor" parameter is "The anchor defines the fixed end point. This will remain fixed in position throughout your simulation." I'd need someway for the anchor to move with the motion of the building. If you know if there is some way to do this, or if there is a different method to model a tuned mass damper, please let me know. Thanks.
