hi
when i do the Tutorials's case(cavity).when i type "paraFoam $FOAM RUN/tutorials/icoFoam cavity" ,the Paraview is appear,when i click "Accept".the Paraview is exit!And appear some erroras show below) FOAM FATAL IO ERROR:attempt to read beyond EOF File:././o/u::Value at Line 37 From Funtion ITstream::read(token$.t) in file db/IOstream/ITread.c at Line 70. what can i do? |

i forget to tell something,i use the openfoam1.4.and the Paraview2.4.4.is it ok?

Hi Weihang
Please take a look at the general structure of a case setup. Chapter 4 of the user guide explains that in enough detail. For now look into the your case directory and u will find three folders: <case>/0/ <<-----contains boundary and initial conditions for the field variables for which u r seeking solution eg p , U, <case>/constant/ <case>/system/ Please read the details of what other folders contain in the user guide. Believe me it has mostly all the information for a good start. In you case the file <case>/0/U needs to be taken case of. Hope that helps . Regards Jaswinder |
