It seems like a bug in correctPhi in pimpleDyMFoam solver in OpenFOAM 2.3.0. In the pcorrEqn, the corrected pressure is calculated with rAUf and phi, but in all the "mesh.changing & correctPhi" loops, rAUf is assigned to 1 without any update. The update of rAUf only takes place in pEqn using the interpolation of rAU. Is seems like pcorr is not correctly calculated.
However, it is not the case for interDyMFoam solver. In this solver, rAUf is calculated from the interpolation of rAU for each "mesh.changing & correctPhi" loops, and this rAU is assigned to 1 only in the initial time. In the later time, the equation pcorrEqn is solved with the updated rAUf. |
