Dear all,
I've always been intrigued by gmsh, it really looks like a powerful tool, but never practiced it. Before considering it further, I'd like to ask any proficient gmsh user whether it is suitable for boundary layer inflation on 3D objects. I tried to dig a bit in the documentation where I found quite remarkable features (such as background meshes), but left my questions unanswered.

Does it feature "collision avoidance" between nearby elements (e.g. layers squeezing, collapsing, or exclusion ?).
Vector treatment (deflection of the layer's normals to allow inflating more)?
Layers separation over an (angular) threshold?

Thanks all !
