Hi everyone,
Apologies I am new to this. I am an undergraduate engineer completing a dissertation in modelling embankment erosion on CFD. Unfortunately I am at home so have limited access to my tutor and academic resources, so have resorted to here for some help. I am in control of the initialisation and calculation processes for meshes, cases and a breach parameter scheme given to me. In my dissertation, I am trying to make the point that the mesh used is of good quality, and from what I've read, the main two factors are aspect ratio and skewness. My question - what are good values to keep between/below for both skewness and aspect ratio? I am trying to show in my work, that the mesh is of good quality. Additionally, if there is a source online (preferably a journal but a good quality website will do) that I can use to source such information, that would be ideal. I do apologise for the extremely amateur nature of this question, I had no involvement in the meshing element to my dissertation. Happy lockdown, Josh |
