Hello everyone!
I am fairly new to CFD and I am interested in parallelizing CFD applications for GPU's. As far as I have read, the polyhedral meshes are better in terms of providing solution accuracy and require less computational time but they are harder to work with because the algorithms that work with them are complex. I want to parallelize the solver and mesh creation for polyhedral mesh based CFD applications. Does anyone have some application domains in mind where it will be better if the computational domain is represented as a polyhedral mesh as opposed to tetrahedral or hexahedral meshes ? If I get hold of an application domain where the unstructured polyhedral mesh is required, I can then proceed to identifying the challenges associated with parallelizing them. Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Manasi |
