ICEM tetra meshing patch independent meshing

Every one presumably knows what errors mean after you hit check mech once you are done meshing. I am still to find out why duplicate elements form or why hanging nodes persists
Is it because of geometry and tolerences. But then again if its patch independent all of this should not matter right. So what happens at what level ( geometrical or meshing) which causes these errors during check mesh. If anyone could answer it. I know Simon can answer it as he does have answer for almost all meshing related problems But anyone is welcome to add on to our knowledge. kindest regards |
