Hi,
I have developed codes that can solve compressible&incompressible flows on cartesian grids. So far I have used staggered cartesian grids but using collacated grid should not be a big issue. I have tested my code on lid driven cavity benchmark results and it works. To further develop the abilities of my code, I have generated an O-grid around a symmetric airfoil with algebraic grid technique(As described in Klaus Hoffmann CFD book volume 1 chapter 9). I can change the domain size and element size without an issue. I want to know whether I should transform the O-grid to a rectangular domain to be able to analyse the fluid flow problem with Finite Volume method. Can I modify the Navier stokes equations to work on the O-grid directly? In other words, can I can get a solution in the domain directly without transforming it to a rectangular domain? I'm sending the link for the plot of the O-grid I have generated below: https://postimg.org/image/ue7kz4k7j/ Thank you. Edit: Sorry for the typo in the title 'Should I'. |

yes, you can .
Discretize the N-S equation in a way like on a unstructured grid system. |
