Hello wonderful cfd community,
I am trying to mesh a water tank with an outlet (cylindrical pipe) and inlet (vertical manifold pipe - regular vertical pipe with 5 holes for horizontal water exit). I created the STL in solidworks and defined outlet, water, and inlet within the stl file.

So I have a couple questions (and I'm new at openFoam)
1) I extruded two concentric circles into the box to act as the walls of the pipe and 5 cylinders inside connecting the inner wall to the outer wall where the rest of the water in the tank is. From my understanding, we are supposed to model only the fluid for internal flow problems. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

2) I'm using 5 small cylinders (3/64 inch radius - I know I'd rather use SI too but I didn't define the problem) to connect the flow of water coming in from the top (inlet) to the main body of the tank, and then trying to analyze how it exits (through the outlet). The problem is I can't get snappyhexmesh to mesh those 5 cylinders. I played around with searchableCylinder, searchableBox, resolveFeatureAngle, and refinement levels, and still no luck

Any suggestions or ideas would be really appreciated!

Actually just figured it out! So much for my first post haha! Here's what I

Added this line in the refinementSurfaces part of snappyHexMeshDict under the surface where the cylinders were defined
gapLevelIncrement 2;

changed resolveFeatureAngle to 200

wore my lucky t-shirt
