Hello,

I have a doubt regarding mesh analysis for a turbine vane using the spanwise mode amplitude. I came across the approach for a DNS simulation and I am including a snapshot of the section.
Can someone break it down what the mode amplitudes represent here and why are they a criterion for mesh resolution, not to mention how can I obtain these values typically for a mesh?

Thanks
