Oscillate Airfoil by Changing Boundary Condition

Hello all,
I am trying to model an airfoil oscillating in pitch, however the software that I am using cannot handle the large pitch oscillations by deforming the mesh (or by rotating a mesh within a mesh). As a result, I have attempted to oscillate the inlet velocity boundary condition while maintaining a static mesh. So far the results have been positive, but I would like to make reference to a similar approach by someone else to substantiate my approach. Does anyone know of a simulation documented in a conference/journal paper or thesis that uses this approach? I have been unable to find one. Thanks, Dan |

Hello Manish,
Thanks for the advice, however I think contracting out my thesis might go over poorly with the university. Any other ideas? Someone must have used this approach before. Regards, Dan |

Could you please tell, how we define oscillating boundary conditions to keep the mesh static?
