Hi Dear Friends,
Nowadays, I am working in the numerical simulation of High Reynolds Free Surface Flows. My code is in 3D finite diference primitive variables. My question is this: In order to validate my computer code, there is some analytical solution for this class of fluid flow? Best Regards Ferreira |

If you can't find an anlytical solution why not consider making one up and using the method of manufactured solutions to verify your code ?

You can find an analytic solution using perturbation methods. Refer to Van Dyke's "Perturbation Methods in Fluid Dynamics."

You can measure the period and height of the surface oscillations after a drop in a pool. The height and time of the apex is known.
