Hello,
My company is looking into doing parametric shape optimization for a complete aircraft configuration. What codes/tools have people used to parametrize aircraft shapes (wings/fuselages and junctions between the two) and how has their experience been with the chosen tools? The idea is to parametrize the shapes, vary the parameters in an intelligent way, run the shapes through CFD and start building up response surfaces to start doing parametric optimization. Thanks in advance for any inputs/comments JB |

I would still be interested in the answer to this if anyone knows. I'm doing very much the same thing, but I cannot find any information on how to parameterize the shape of my aircraft.

Have a look at modeFRONTIER, which may offer some of the features that you want and is claiming to be coupled with a number of CFD software. I have no personal experience.

sir the best way is to make a 3d model in any compatible cad software and then do alteration followed by CFD. in case of any other help kindly contact me naumaneshanhashmi@gmail.com
