I am working on perforated plate designing to reach flow uniformity around the duct burners in a HRSG boiler but unfortunately, I have not found any method for this problem in the literature yet.
generally, I could not find any study about the effect of porous jump on the flow uniformity. maybe, I don't know what keywords I should search for that. Does anybody have information about this matter? thanks so much! |

What kind of information do you need? How many holes you need to get a certain pressure drop?

the velocity distribution through a stack or perforated plates can be modeled as plug flow. You can search Matrix Heat Exchanger for a few papers about that.
