Southampton and Imperial are pretty good too. Depends what you want to do or future prospects.

To be honest, I do not know.....
I just like CFD the best of all and would like to work in aerospace industry because I can not live without aviation. I already have an engineer-mechenic degree in speciality "aircraft, helicopters and air breathing engines", but that all concern only its maintainance. When I studied in college, one of my older friends, we can say tutor, acquainted me with CFD. Later during my post-graduate courses I worked with SIMPLE algorithm on a non-orthogonal grids and tryed to simulate flow in combustion chamber of the turbojet. Since that I got to like CFD the best of all. Unfortunately I worked alone and without supervision. Then I had to leave Branch Office of the University because of many reasons. I had to be with my parents. After father's death I am free, but I am anable to return to Russia where I studied. But to work in CFD sphere I need at least MSc degree. Recently I applyed to the IMP in Turbulence in Chalmers Universuty, but my applycation was rejected, because Lars Davidson (director of International Master Programme in Turbulence), said that I already know enough. I need a degree. To addition I have not much money to pay for study, but I think to apply to partially studies, in order that I could work to provide my existence. The best choice for me is UMIST, but unfortunately it does not provide scholarship. My specialization is turbojet engines, to be more exact - main combustion chambers. |

Why does everyone ask for the best (university, code, report, etc.) It might be better to ask for several, perhaps ranked.

Dear Mr. Jonas Holdeman
Everyone tryes to the best, to fly higher, to fly longer, to fly better.... Here I should express my gratutude to You for Your offer tow years ago to collaborate. It was very difficult time for me then, just after father's death. Also I am very grateful to Mr. Jonas Larsson who encouraged me very much then. And I am grateful especially to Mr. Gunnar Johansson for his invitation. And to Mr. Evgueni Smirniv, who also supported me mentally during the most difficult period of my life. I hope that finally love and CFD will rescue the world |

Michail,
I believe many of your posts are not related to CFD-problems and cannot be covered well within CFD-ONLINE forums. I am also poor and fond of CFD. However, I never share my problems/difficulties with others and try to do my best without yelling and crying. Life is challenging for some of us and we have to cope with it. Wish you luck. CFD Student. |

Dear friends, thank You very much for Your suggestions.
As regarding CFDstudent: I am completely alone and have not any friends or advisers. All my friends in ciber-space, most of them I found thanks to CFD-online. Thanks to Jonas Larsson About non-CFD question: CFD-online is the best place for it. After this post I already find what I needed. |
