Does anybody have a link to a site/personal program for a spectral Fourier (2d/3d) DNS code for a periodic square/box. Vorticity/velocity or stream function for 2d based schemes are fine.
I'm interested in testing a analytical turbulence theory that my supervisor and I have been working on. Thanks in advance! |

Hi there,
You should try to contact the group of Steven A. Orsazg, Eric Jackson and Z.S. She in Princeton. See there work in She et al. 1991, Proceedings of the Royal Society of London Series A: Mathematical and Physical Sciences, vol. 434 (1890), 101. I am not sure if Eric Jackson is still there, but you could try Steven Orszag at sao@cfd.princeton.edu If this does not work, then let me know I do have a 2D compressible pseudospectral Fourier method of collocation for solving waves on a sphere (for planetary atmospheres, it has not been tested or implemented for turbulence). Cheers, PG. |

Hi,
Steve Orszag and his group in Princeton have vanished and disintegrated. Orszag is in Yale (Math) now, Victor Yakhot in Boston University. Zhen-Su She in UCLA (Math). Olus Boratav |

Sorry,
my info was a bit old, but Orszag has still a web page in Princeton... In any case if you'll need a Fourier solver, let me know, I can give you what I do have. Cheers, Patrick |
