why CFD

hi, i am an Mtech(industrial mathematics and CS)student i wanted to know where CFD is applicabale in software in software industry
or If i deveolp codes in CFD , where will it help me getting a job or is it just reasearch oriented |

There are perhaps 10-15 companies world-wide that develop commercial CFD packages. You could conceivably get a job with any of them so its not just research oriented. In addition, there are still a few companies that work on internal CFD codes for use by their own engineers so that's another source of jobs.
