Dear ,
I'm making a code for three dimensional external flow using the Vortex in Cell Method. I solve streamfunction-vorticity poisson equation. To do this, I previously calculate boundary streamfunction value. But, it takes long time to get boundary streamfunction vlaue. (when I get boundary streamfunction value, I use vorticity-streamfunction relation ) So I'm now thinking far-field boundary which have only potential velocity and I try to impose streamfunction value = 0. Am I right ? And please let me know how can I reduce boundary calculation time? what I have to do? |

Hi, An efficient and accurate formulation is to use FMM to impose exact BC. This mixt algotithm FMM-VIC was proposed by Winckelmans & al 1 or 2 years ago and is very pragmatic and fast.
