Dear colleagues:

I'd like to know where can i download such free 2D CFD code?

1)firstly, of course it's free

2)with RANS turbulence models as many as possible, for example k-epslion,k-omega...

3)easy to use (can easily run several basic benchmark testings, for example, backward-facing step, 2D cavity cases etc...)

4)any code by C/C++/Fortran/Java with any numerical method FEM/FDM/FVM etc. is ok.

Thanks for your info.

Now I'm writing such code, so if you will be kind to wait for an half of year you are welcome, see code by Perric

see also

I'm going to rewrite this code and make it more understandable

If interested in compressible code Have a look at ISAAC. goto resource section then to free software.

I'm writing such code now.

But it's too far to SIMPLE algorithm at non-staggered grids for curvlinear non-orthogonal coordinates.

Now it solves only Smith-Hutton test on uniform grid with UDS and QIUCK schemes for convective fluxes.

Soon I hope it will be able more.

I use Fortran 90. I can send if you'd like.

i am the doctor of the professor tao wen quan, i have writen some code for the incompressible flow with 2d ,both quick and 8 kinds of high resolution scheme implented by the method of nsfv. i now have trouble to put it into general curvilinear grid system and the non-staggered grid ,so i think we can cooperation. would you mind send a copy of your code to me . thank you very much . ztdep@yahoo.com.cn

Dear ztdep

Here You can find Peric's code.

ftp://ftp.springer.de/pub/technik/peric/

Also I will send to You my own code. I should to say it rather primitive.

It's only beggining, it solves only general transport equation on a uniform grid, Smith-Hutton problem. I imlemented QUICK scheme and am going to implement other high-order and TVD schemes.

Then I'll develop it for non-orthogonal grid.

Also I prepare to implement SIMPLE algorithm on a collocated grid.

Use Google and look for "Rhie Chow interpolation"

Using Google I've found good description of the problem. Later I will send to You the best I've found, mainly it's lectures, handouts and course notes from different universities.

Waiting for Your Email with Peric's book.

Great thanks for Your help.

Michail

wqhcqdx is on a distinguished road
Dear Michail

Hi! I’m also doing some work on the numerical simulation. But I cannot get access to the ftp://ftp.springer.de/pub/technik/peric/ given by you, so can you send them to them by email, thank you!

Given that this thread mentioned the old FTP site for Peric et al code, I'll quote my post from yesterday, which may have what used to be in the FTP site:
