Dear All,
I am totally new one in cfd field. Can anybody help me to do the simulation on the performance of industrial fan. Especially it is better to know the boundary conditions to be applied. |

Let us know which software you are using. More details of the application will help identify the boundary conditions

First of all, I thank you for replaying my doubt. I am using Ansys 11. I can say exactly my doubts regarding the analysis that
1. Inlet and Outlet Boundary Conditions 2. Is there any constraints to be given for the interface between rotating and stationary domain? 3. How to set up the physics for compressible flow analysis (FAVRE Avg) because ambient air is the fluid. My ultimate aim of the project is to derive the performance curve of the industrial fan. |

Hi all.
I am pretty much interested in doing the same with openFOAM, first on the axial fan and second on a centrifugal fan. Could anyone give me a hint where to start and which solver to use... Any help is appretiated! |
