I'm wondering if there is a lagrangian solver for N-S.For the motion of a cylinder when the lagrangian approach is used a singularity arises when the cylinder has moved 0.75 times its diameter . I'm interested in studying the propagation of this point of singularity.
Any suggestions welcome. -H |

KIVA is derived from an ALE (Arbitrary Langrangian Eulerian) solver that allows piston motion to drive mesh movement.
I'm told it's not a code for the faint-hearted : ). KIVA was originally developed at the Los Alamos National Lab, in New Mexico. I believe work continues at the University of Wisconsin. And Cummins Diesel (Columbus, Indiana) and General Motors Corp have a continuing interest. |
