Dear all,

I am working in a project where i am using a cartesian grid for fluid and i am representing the solid body as discrete lagrangian points. I found in a paper that these lagrangian interfacial markers should be represented using arclength coordinates. I am confused about what is the actual meaning of arclength coordinates of a point??? I know we can reparameterize a curve if we already knew the parametric form of that curve. But here i have only the data points of a curve, so how can i parameterize my curve using arclength?? please someone help me..

Thanks.
Regards,
ipp
