Hello,
Does anyone know how I can determine the specified diameter, rosin rammler distribution or other distributions from a known Sauter Mean Diameter? Thank you |

SMD is a statistical measure indicating the diameter at which most of the mass exists for a certain drop distribution.
1) If your central problem is evaporation, the closest approximation to a "specified diameter" could be the SMD itself, assuming you don't have any other info. 2) Look in the book "Atomization and Sprays" by Arthur Lefebvre and you'll find the first steps to solve your problem. |
