I'm doing research about Free convection in enclosed rectangular cavity. There are 2 vertically isothermal walls on 29 - 31 degree c. I dont know how to find local Nusselt number because the temperature on the wall is constant. For the free stream temperature, which part I should pick it up for calculating delta-Temp? I've found some literature, it's shown that I have to use plane of 0.125Cavity from hot wall for calculating Nu at hot wall. And also use plane of 0.125Cavity from cold wall for calculating Nu at cold wall. However,it's just 1 paper I've found so I dare not use it.

please help me find out the answer T T

Thank you so much in advance

Are you modelling flow in a differentially heated cavity? Can you extract data at a cross section adjacent to the wall and use the fluid temperature at the extremity of the boundary layer profile?

nusselt number can be found at cold and hot walls by knowing flux at fluid-structure interface. the detla T value used to be temperature difference b/w hot an d cold wall. refer velusamy et al
