I need help in selecting a CFD Package. I've narrowed the field down to the following products:
CFD2000 CFDesign Ansys/FLOTRAN NUMECA FLUENT CFD ACE STAR-CD Amtec/INCA CFX Which one do I choose???? The problem is flow past an airfoil a trailing edge device at M = 0.5 or less. Compressibility effects are not a concern. I'm concerned with each packages ease in generating the airfoil geometry. Can it import a graphics file from CATIA? Can it generate the airfoil section given that the coordinates are in a text file? The other concern is the ease it can extract the data so that it can be easily incorporated into Excel, QuatroPro, or even Matlab. It would be nice that it can compute Lift and Drag immediately.. ![]() More details are available upon request... ![]() |
