I faced a case that simulate aircraft drop bomb,I have created grids with IcemCFD,and use it merg the aircaft grid and the bomb grid to be chimera grid...After i imported it into CFD-Fatran.I found there are more than 1000 zones in the structure grid. And i couldn't use Shift and Ctrl key to define the overlaps zones.the work is so huge.........Who can tell me if there has a good way to do this.......thank you very much

I would suggest using CFDRC's own mesh generator Geom, rather than ICEM. I have experience of both, and I definitely prefer Geom. Geom is particularly good at merging the mesh blocks, which makes life a lot simpler.

I have used geom, but not good,I could only make 2D mesh with GEOM.Could you teach me about GEOM?????,I thibk it will take a long time for me to make a grid of a aircraft and bomb......I want to kown, could grids from ICEMCFD be merged in GEOM???first i change it into *.DTF,and then open the *.DTF in GEOM,I have tried, Geom could merg some of the zones....but i don't kown if the grids after merged useful.....Did you have any experience of this??????Thank you very much...

anyone find that with the new version of fastran the species are not appearing for in the species list in the properties submenus? i also find that if i load say lotemp.dat then it doesn't read it properly and half the species are actually things like 1.17707D01.... I never had this problem with the older version anyone else have the same problem?
