Hi everybody,
please help me out in the following. Which is the Best computational method that can be used to study the performance of a aerofoil of a Micro Air Vehicle of 1 inch chord and 2 inch span considering the three dimensional efects predominant. Also how to study the performance of the aerofoil experimentally taking into consideration the 3D effects and the accuracy of the measurements. |

(1). You need to define your Problem Reynolds number first. This will tell you whether the flow over the airfoil is in the laminar or turbulent regime. You can then take from there to determine what method you need. (2). There are books on wind tunnel testing. Go check out the book from a library. This will tell you how to conduct the experiment.

Hi raj,
I think that flow around your MAV is still macro-scale, not a micro-flow, so a lot of commercial software canbe used for your purpose. As for experiments, PIV and Laser mometer could be suitable. Ji |

I would like to read some papers about numerical and experimental study for MAV. Could anyone give me the lists of the papers? Thank you
