Hello everyone,
at the moment i am working on a benchmarking between StarCCM+ (meshing only) and SnappyHexMesh. I generated meshes with both of the programs for the same geometries. Now i want to compare the quality of the meshes. Does anyone know a free software that has built in mesh-quality-metrics, except of Paraview and Visit? Thanks for your help |

How do you propose to compare a tet/poly mesh with a hex mesh? What parameters would you use?
Wouldn't mesh quality across cell topologies also need to include how the solver uses the geometry (cell centre, face or node)as this will alter the assessment. |

ok,
i want to compare a mesh genarated with the StarCCM+ Trimmer Meshing Model (hexahedral) with a mesh for the same geometry generated with SnappyHexMesh. Parameters i want to compare are aspect ratio, skewness, orthogonality ans so on... |

Just load both meshes into CCM+ and do it there.
