I know that the Kolmogorov scale can be calculated from the viscosity and dissipation rate. And the dissipation rate is of order u^3/L, where u is the fluctuating velocity and L is the integral length scale.

I know u can be obtained after simulation. However, how to determine L in downstream, wall-normal and streamwise directions?

Further, is it possible to estimate u and L in each direction in advance?

Thank you.
