SIMPLE or SIMPLER is just a method to couple the momentum and mass equations which is not really concerned with dimensionality. That is to say, if you can do it in 2D, it's the same in 3D.

What is the reason you're asking for it?

To all other people - are not you tired about questions regarding code requests here on cfd-online.com forum? Those people are students who are trying to pass an egzam. or what?

Hi Maciej,

why are you angry? What do you expect of a forum like this? Only questions how to use a program? What you can do, if there is a warning "xy"? You think there are too many people trying to pass a exam with the answer of the questions? Maybe you are wrong. There are people, trying to understand, what's behind cfd. Not everxbody knows so much like you. Other people are just at the beginning of their "cfd-life" and so they ask "silly" questions.

Thank god that you are so intelligent...

Best Christoph

Abdou,

Take a look at Peric's code. It is very well written and easy to understand.

Christoph,

I am not angry. I am asking about those people who are not even try to introduce themselves and write something like:

"I want XX YY code for ZZ problem."

Where:

XX is a language, YY is a method and ZZ is one-word-problem-description,

Sorry, but my mother always tells me: first introduce yourself (where I mean not introducing you as a person, but your problem for example) then talk to other people. Those people who are writing those posts on that forum are making me smile not angry.

And sorry about "Best" before my name, looks really strange it should be:

Best Regards, Maciej Matyka

Hi Maciej,

in this case you might be right. But sometimes you have informations, but you doubt, that you are right. Or you know the theoretical background of something and you know, that you can simulate this problem, but you don't simulate this problem. Then the questions, you might ask, are very abstract, even if you have introduced yourself before....etc ... ...but sometimes we must smile. That'right, but that's great. The world would be very poor, if we had nothing to smile. Best Regards ;-) Christoph Streicher

Knowledge is not simply for those who want to spend time learning, it is for those who want it for free also. If we don't want to share codes with people, then that is fine. I remember when I was starting and I was more interested in seeing codes than knowing how they worked. This is because people tend to feel that if they have a code, they can reverse engineer the theory. It is easier (academically as well as mentally) to solve a problem if you have many pieces of information regarding it. Passing exams is what university is all about. That is its purpose in large parts of the world today. I spent my time in college enjoying myself and then near exam time I got as much information as possible and tried to understand it, but failing that I learnt if off by heart. Learning reams of poetry by heart is acceptable, even if you haven't a clue what it means. I believe learning CFD by heart is useful too, since over time may figure it out.
