It is believed that the energy spectrum E(k) of an isotropic turbulent flow, regardless of its generator and quite universally, obeys the well-known k -5/3 line in a special range which is called inertial subrange.
However the celebrated Kolmogrov K -5/3 law is valid for Energy spectra which are drawn in space domain, let's say wave number. I am wondering if there is any similar law when you draw your Energy spectrum in frequency domain. Is there any region in this spectrum which follows something similar to Kolmogrov law? and if it exists what is that equation? |
