Hi everyone,
I came across this forum and find it awesome. I'm pretty much a complete beginner in CFD, but do have graduate level experience (just finished PhD) in mechanical engineering (emphasis on analytical design, heat transfer/thermo). I am very interested in learning more about CFD and would like to learn some basics out of interest and so I can run simulations in the future if needed. I was wondering if people can give me some pointers on where to start? I was thinking of getting Computational Fluid Dynamics by John Anderson to read... I have also installed openfoam and did the first tutorial...I was thinking of installing netgen to help with importing geometry. Do these sound good as starting points? Any other suggestions on software and literature for my self-education? Last edited by p_lin; November 6, 2010 at 13:14. |
