Hi all

From the new automotive engine cooling fan, I saw that the fan blades are connected with a cylinder ring (like the duct rotating with the impeller). It looks good in strength point of view for a big size fan. Could any one tell what are the benefits and back draws aerodynamically?

i am diong project in "design and modelling of centrifugal water pump volute casing" for M.E.(project work)

i want elememtary idea about the design and modelling of volute casing for centrifugal pump for my M.E.(project work). please give some guidane and idea about this.
