Whether an analytic solution can be written down, in a useful form, depends upon your initial conditions and boundary conditions? for an axisymmetric problem try using the similarity variable Z = r/sqrt(t) to reduce the problem to an ode in Z. For problems on a rectangular domain use separation of variables and Fourier series.
