Default accuracy of Discontinuous Galerkin

I have a question about the accuracy of Discontinuous Galerkin. It is said that DG can provide high accuracy by using high order base functions.

Does it mean that we can get any high accuracy as long as we use higher order base functions. But DG involves computation of numerical flux. How does the accuracy of numerical flux compact the whole accuracy of DG? If the accuracy of numerical flux is low, can it limit the whole accuracy of DG??

thx
