Hi,
I am new to KIVA and never done fortran source code compilations or programming. Can someone here help me with how to compile the KIVA4 source codes to obtain the .exe file? I have Cygwin installed on my PC (Windows 7). I think I can use g95 Fortran in cygwin for compiling. I have the Makefile file in the software package. It's written for ifort, which I change to g95. Would that be enough modification for compiling using cygwin? Can I simply compile Makefile and obtain the KIVA.exe file? (I tried it several times, I got KIVA.exe files, but fails to run either from Windows or from cygwin command prompt, error comes up saying, At line 31 of file ./kiva3d/begin.f file: "otape9" Traceback: not available, compile with -ftrace=frame or -ftrace=full Fortran runtime error: The system cannot find the file specified. After repeated errors from compiling in cygwin, I tried to compile the individual source codes using MS Visual Studio, then the compilation breaks showing combust.i file is missing. Is there a procedure for compiling these souce codes to get the exe file? Any help is much appreciated Regards George
