Hi folks,
I'm intersted in doing a Masters degree (MSc.) course in CFD at a University in the UK. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone who is new to this field? thanks |

Leeds University used to do a MSc in CFD as did Cranfield University.
These courses are more geared towards writing rather than using. Cranfield is maybe a little more practical. I'm an Engineering graduate and found the Leeds Uni course highly mathematical. I needed to do extra work to keep up with the Math, but maybe i'm just not so bright! |

In my opinion you should select a univeristy (not necessarily in UK) which is working in developing CFD code, not merely using Fluent or Star-CD etc., as is the normal trait of british engineering schools.

Thanks for your help guys. I've done some research and I think the University of Southampton has a very good programme at the Ship Science department. The Maritime Engineer Science Masters (theme in Marine CFD) http://www.ship.ses.soton.ac.uk/
I'm interested in applying CFD to hydrodynamic problems. |
