Hi,
I don't know if this is a simple/obvious question but it's well-known that tetraedral elements by themselves are not able to capture boundary layer features. In order to solve the boundary layer correctly, it is necessary to put prismatic layers, then you have a hybrid mesh. I would like to know if thinking works for hexaedral elements. Do they have the capabitity to capture these features or I need to put prismatic layers to capture the behavior on the boundary layer? Thanks anyway. Matheus Guzella |
