Hi everyone,

Does anyone know, what I need to do in order to run KIVA on few CPUs rather than one? I would be very grateful if you could help me to reduce the simulation time by running on few CPUs.

Cheers

Nik

Hi Nik,
First of all I need to know what version of KIVA you are dealing with and also whether that version is a parallel one or you would have to parallelize it by yourself.

Regards

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your reply,

I am using KIVA-3v, which I think needs to be modified first to run it in parallel.

Cheers

Hi Nik,

It's correct, KIVA 3V is a serial distribution of KIVA, so that if you want to run it in parallel you'll have to implement a parallelization in your code by yourself.
I can imagine that is not going to be easy at all
I'm using KIVA 4 which is a parallel distribution, then the parallelization is already implemented in it, so I have no clue about how to do it.

Good luck

Dani
