Default Front Tracking

I am looking for a finite differnce code to track the phase front in two dimensions for freezing water. The boundary conditions are of convective type and the co-ordinate system is cartesian. Can any one suggest where exactly to find it. I know its probably a very easy problem but am having difficulty in writing the code.
