I am currently in charge of finding an appropriate software package to simulate the aerodynamic, aeroelasticity (flutter, vortex shedding), and structural dynamics (modal analysis, frequency responses) of a vertical wind wind turbine.
What current packages are being currently used to generate this particular studies? I have worked with FLUENT, STAR CCM to study the aerodynamics of several bluff and streamline bodies, however, this is the first time where i have to use the aero pressure data to create another model to investigate the structural dynamics of the product. Any help provided will be great including comments about pre-processors and post-processing software for this types of analysis. |
