What type of geometry do you want to mesh?
For multi-block hexaedral structural mesh, I would advise GridPro. But it depends a lot on the application and the complexity of the geometry. Regards, Vincent |

Do you have an image of your pump?
we already did some with GridPro, getting very nice grids. you can contact me by email if you want to talk more about that: vincent.rivola@rtech-engineering.com Regards, Vincent |

I'll add another vote for GridPro. The only downside to it is that the documentation is not the best, and it could do a better job with error messages. If you can get past that, though, it has the capability of generating very good grids.

Hi Chris,
I agree with you on some error messages, but it is not really anoying I think and you can easily get over that. however, what are the problems about the documentation in your opinion? on my side I like the detailed tutorials in pdf and video format, not so many codes have this. But it would be interesting to know what is missing according to you? I could give the requirements to the editor. Liang Dong, I got your pump. I'll have a look a more detailed look at it, but I think it is typically a case which GridPro is good at. You can already have a look at those examples on gridpro website: http://www.gridpro.com/gridgallery/t...ines_link.html Regards, Vincent |

GridPro is not a free software.
however since you are a student, price is only 20% of the normal price. You should contact the chinese distributor, they should be able to give more detailed information and maybe make you a grid example on your geometry. Here are the contact information: China Beijing Romtek Developing Co., Ltd. Room 907, Building No. 1, Boya International Centre, Wangjing, Chaoyang District, Beijing, China, 100102 Tel: +86-10-8478 2018 Fax: +86-10-6439 2191 E-mail: gridpro@romtek.cn Web: http://www.romtek.cn Regards, Vincent |
