In complex compressible flows (turbomachinery, air intake, scramjet) shear layers (wake, free shear layers) can be found interacting with normal or oblique shock waves. The project aims at reviewing theoretical, computational and experimental aspects of those interactions, with emphasis on flow unsteadiness and turbulence structure.
