inflow-outflow conditions

I am trying to model, piston-driven, oscillatory flow in a channel that has one end open to the atmosphere. Ideally I would be able to specify a pressure at the outlet.
The problem is that the outlet becomes an inlet half way through each cycle and having an inlet with conditions set for an outlet causes a failure in the code. It is possible to changes the conditions upon reversal but this results in errors in the results. I have tried using a buffer layer but this did not work either. Thanks for any advice. |
