Hi all,
I need your help/input on CFD. I'm considering a final year project on CFD, and I know that it's quite difficult. Since I believe all or most of you are professionals in this field I would like to ask some questions: 1. how useful is CFD in real life? 2. is people with this skill really needed? I mean, in terms of job oppurtunity, are companies looking for this skill? what's the prospect of CFD in the future? 3. what kind of job are usually being offered? and where? (eg as an analysis engineer in an aircraft company, etc) I live in Brisbane, Australia, so maybe if there are any of you from Brisbane too we can contact each other. Thank you so much for your help Patrick Sarta |

You can read chapter one (Philosophy of CFD) and chapter 12 (future of CFD) of a the book (Computational Fluid Dyanmicas, the basics with applications) by J. Anderson. you will find the answers of most of your questions. CFD is definitely growth industry, one of the main contributors in development and revolution in Aerospace and many many other diciplines is CFD.
