Our project this year involves the cfd modelling of a Magnetic refrigerator.
Basically, a heat transfer fluid flows through a mesh of Gadolinium (a rare earth metal) and through a series of heat exchangers. The gadolinium is heated and cooled by a magneticfield and the fluid transfers the heat from the metal to the heat exchangers. I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with cfd modelling with this type of setup? Im quite new to cfd so any help at all would be appreciated. |
