hello
i want to solve 1-dimensional linear wave equation by RK2, second order and upwind but i do not know how to convert wave Eq. PDE to an ODE for using RK2 can any one help me, please? Last edited by vahidmech; November 13, 2009 at 04:51. |

First the gradient term du/dx is calculated using the upwind method. Once you calculate du/dx the system becomes an ODE du/dt=-f where f=du/dx. You solve this using R-K.
