Hello!
I've found some measurement files at the following website. http://scholar.lib.vt.edu/ejournals/...-243/r1/anwer/ Those files are the same files that can be found in the ercoftac classic database for the "Swirling and Non-Swirling Flows in Curved Pipe" case. http://cfd.mace.manchester.ac.uk/ercoftac/classif.html (seems like the page with the case is down for some reason). The page contains descriptions of the measurements. I've searched the forum and found a thread covering the some question I have but there were no good answers. The problem is that i have a hard time figuring out what the different colums in the files containing velocity measurements for the non-rotational case (beh00.dat, bev00.dat) represent. At first I thought that the 9 columns represented the 3 first order moments followed by 6 second order moments. beh00.dat contains measurements along the horizontal radii of the circular section. bev00.dat contains measurements along the vertical radii of the circular section. But when I look at the values for first order moments I think the velocity is too high in the radial and circumferential directions (compare to the axial direction) which makes me wonder what the different colums actually represent. Hopefully someone of you got a clue. Maybe you have been looking at the same files earlier. I would be greatful for any help. Thanks Rasmus Last edited by RubiCube; October 22, 2009 at 10:27. |
