Consider a straight pipe (1.6mm bore, 80mm long) which is filled with Helium (300psi) and the flow is pulsating (+/-50psi). It pulsates at approximately 80Hz. Does anyone know of any CFD that has been performed on similar situations.

The basic text Ch. 10.5.4 on CFD by Versteeg & Malalasekera gives a basic non-dimensional overview for a circular pipe at low and high frequencies along with math references to the overall flow behaviour and applied studies. Boundary Layer Theory (1979) by Schlichting gives the analytical solution fitting the bore-pipe length ratios of your problem.
