i`m very new to CFD......i am trying to model the intake manifold of an IC engine in 3D, as i want to have the complete flow visualization with the pressure and velocity contours.... the geometry of the manifold is like that of a long pipe followed by a simple pipe elbow. i understand that i have to create volume mesh to do this.. i`m using gambit 2.2.30 and fluent 6.3.26 as solver. are there any tips on how to generate accurate volume mesh? what schemes and the grid density shud i use.. what abt the pipe walls. ...how shud it be meshed?
pls guide me.. regards\ atm |
